Jimmy Kemmel Mocks India’s ‘Toilet Situation’, And Twitter Got Offended.

Jimmy Kemmel, in his latest show, mocked how the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation created a scheme in which they will be paying Re. 1 to individuals to use public toilets instead of doing it under the sun, in the open.

So basically, “government funded potty training”.

The video has since been taken down (hence, the error below)

However, we found some screen grabs on Buzzfeed.

But ofcourse, we are a breed which gets offended even we are told we get offended way too easily. So obviously twitter reacted to this with full hatred.

Are we forgetting that Kimmel uses the same humor for America as well, and didn’t just reserve this treatment to ‘point’ and ‘laugh’ at India. Are we forgetting that our jokes on Americans on our comedy shows are equally stereotypical.

Can we move on? Can we understand that it’s plain simple humor? Can we for once not be offended with something?

There were a few, which didn’t see the outrage :

And if you really are in the mood to be offended, here you go. We feel that the outrage came a few years too late. We are getting offended by the wrong Jimmy Kemmel video. It is this video (below) which is actually so very stereotypical, which makes it very amateur and exposes the badly done research. The puns of ‘no sex’, usage of the word ‘outsourced’, and the ridiculous accent which no Indian in the world has, makes it one unbearable watch.

Once again, not offended, just a very very bad script.
