When you are travelling on Indian roads, you get to face two things for sure – 1) A random cow taking a quick stroll in the middle of a highway, and 2) An angry driver shouting ‘yeh road tere baap ki hai kya?’
Thanks to Quicko, we now have a very legit answer to that rhetorical question.
Most of us don’t think twice before spitting gutkha on the roads, leaving the tap running, or in general doing all those things outside which we would not do in our homes.
Why? Because we feel that the facilities belong to someone else, while in reality, it’s actually ours. It is the tax that we pay as citizens that is used to create infrastructure, and Quicko’s campaign aims to make us proud of the fact. #ProudToPayTax.
The campaign is a big win for a lot of reasons
Firstly, it’s really heartening to see a financial services company take to digital media for their campaign. A road generally less taken for financial services.
Secondly, to make someone part with their money, is the hardest thing to do, and they have driven the point of #ProudToPayTax very convincingly through this ad.
So next time someone asks ‘Yeh road tere baap ki hai kya?’, you know what to say!
