Here’s Why Everyone’s DP Has Suddenly Changed To Indian Colours and “Electrons”

Haha, not electrons, but it surely looks like one!

The Indian Government has launched a program to connect small towns and villages and it’s citizens to the internet and give everyone access to internet and even more online services. In support of the same, Mark Zuckerberg changed his profile picture with the said Indian flag and “electrons”. This was moments before PM Modi reached the Facebook office to meet him. This is what Mark had to say :

“I changed my profile picture to support Digital India, the Indian government’s effort to connect rural communities to the internet and give people access to more services online. Looking forward to discussing this with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Facebook today. Show your support for Digital India at fb.com/supportdigitalindia

PM Modi also changed his profile picture on the Facebook.

“Thanks Mark Zuckerberg for the support. I changed my DP in support of the efforts towards a Digital India,” PM Modi wrote in a post on Facebook.

  1. Changing your DP is not actually raising your voice for Digital India. You unknowingly are voting for Internet.org which is deliberately against Net Neutrality when you change your DP! Think before you change your DP and ask your followers to change it
