The latest campaign by Vicks has been going viral across the internet, and has left many teary-eyed. It’s a story about a young girl called Gayatri who talks to us about her adoptive mother and shares her tales of joy about the time she spends with her.

This is based on the true story of Gauri Sawant, who adopted Gayatri, a young girl. We won’t give the plot away yet, you have to see this right till the end.

With a very subtle message, the ad is hinting that the young child is sent to a boarding school to keep her from witnessing the prejudice, stigma and atrocities her mother is forced to endure on a daily basis.

We are absolutely stunned by the brilliant execution and the oh so relevant message. Go on, spread the message yourself.

  1. Is advertising today all about taking society problems to the screen? And once that is done name your brand so that you get a lot of PR., This is one beautiful short story, such inspiration, and beautifully directed. But, a very shitty ad, take this short video and add it to any mother-daughter relationship related product and it would be the same, it would look good even on tata tea.
    There was no creativity in using Vicks as a product.
